Pay attention to social security work
In recent years, along with implementing regular programs and tasks, the Fatherland Front at all levels in Ben Cat City has organized many patriotic emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front, such as the movement "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas", the movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor, leaving no one behind", act together with the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized city"... In particular, the emulation movement to ensure social security was launched with rich and diverse forms, in accordance with the actual local situation.
One of the activities that receives the attention of governments at all levels, member organizations, the business community, and philanthropic individuals is the “solidarity house” building program for poor households and households having difficulty finding housing. Vo Que Huong, Standing Member of the Fatherland Front Committee of Ben Cat City, said that from 2023 up to now, the City For the Poor Fund’s Campaign Committee has done the construction, repair and handover of many solidarity houses, gratitude houses, charity houses, red cross houses for poor households and households with housing difficulties in the area, with a total cost of over 1.4 billion VND. Recently, the city's Fatherland Front has also started a program to build great solidarity houses for poor households in Dien Bien province to welcome the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024) with an amount of 250 million VND, equivalent to 5 great solidarity houses.
In addition, the Fatherland Front and its member organizations have also organized many meaningful and practical activities, such as giving gifts to poor, near-poor, disadvantaged households, workers... with total cost of hundreds of millions of Dong; awarded scholarships to encourage learning for students from poor, near-poor households, and students having difficult circumstances in the city with a total amount of nearly 250 million VND supported by the "For the Poor" Fund and benefactors.
In particular, the Fatherland Front system of communes and wards continues to implement social security programs to care for poor households, people having difficult circumstances, capital and production support programs. Some movements are maintained effectively, such as "Help each other develop the family economy" in My Phuoc ward with 5 capital rotation groups, with 396 participating members and currently, more than 10 members were granted interest-free loans with a total amount of over 200 million VND. In addition, some programs "Raising a piggy bank to ensure social security", "Pair of loving leaves", "Neighborhood residents take care of poor households in the neighborhood"... have provided regular, monthly, and extraordinary support to cases of accidents, illnesses, serious illnesses...

Along with activities to ensure social security, the Fatherland Front system at all levels also actively propagates and encourages people from all walks of life to actively emulate and well implement the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized city". This is a campaign implemented with high spirit and determination to constantly consolidate and promote the great national solidarity, create synergy and unity between the city's Fatherland Front, member organizations and other branches, contributing to completing the goals of building new rural areas, civilized city and poverty reduction. The Fatherland Front at all levels continues to closely follow political tasks, key, unexpected, urgent tasks, and local socio-economic development tasks to organize and launch emulation movements with rich, attractive forms that are suitable for the characteristics of each locality and facility, in order to promote the effectiveness and practicality of the emulation movements, avoid waste and formality. The Fatherland Front system also regularly pays attention to building, discovering, fostering, introducing, and praising new factors, programs, examples, good and creative practices, expands advanced examples, highlight examples of good people and good deeds to promote and encourage emulation movements.
Ms. Vo Que Huong said that in order to practically emulate and establish achievements to welcome the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress at all levels for the 2024-2029 term, the city's Vietnam Fatherland Front has launched a special emulation to organize practical activities and works. This demonstrates innovation and creativity in well performing the functions and tasks of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and implementing the motto "Using the people's strength to take care of people's lives", "people know, people discuss, people do, people check, people supervise, people benefit", creating a widespread spirit of the congress among the people, combined with the implementation of Project 02 on "Mass mobilization work participates in building a cultural and civilized lifestyle" in the city in the period 2021-2025.
In that spirit, the Fatherland Front system coordinates with member organizations at all levels in the city to mobilize people to actively join hands with Party committees and authorities to socialize projects and establish self-management groups, take care of poor and difficult households.
