Medical sector has suffered high pressures due to increasing demand of people for heath care. Even male physicians have to work hard to accomplish their tasks, female ones have to bear more pressures, because they have to take care their families besides work responsibilities.
Learning to improve qualification
Female health officials have obtained many achievements of provincial health sector, e.g. eminent physician, Prime Minister’s merit, emulating soldiers. To get these results, they always keep striving, bettering themselves, improving qualification. After busy working hours, they continue to learn. Provincial General Hospital, Reproductive health care center, Nursing – Rehabilitation hospital, and many health facilities have stipulated sooner working hours to facilitate learning of their officials.

Reproductive health care center’s Deputy Director Dr. Dao Thi My Phuong, who was conferred “Eminent physician” title, believes physicians have to be associated with learning, especially female physician. Learning is the only way that physicians can devote themselves to life.
Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Ha, who has worked for medical ward of provincial Traditional Medicine hospital for 10 year. She has tried her best to fulfill her responsibilities and take classes in HCM City to meet work requirements, and be able to serve patients better.
Leadership being side by side
Party Committees, Trade Unions at health facilities have also facilitated learning of female medical officials. Salary, allowances were increased after they finished learning. Works and duties were also assigned properly.
“After working at hospitals, they have to go to classes, take care of their children, so they are always busy. Nevertheless, they manage their time satisfactorily and always fulfilled their duties”.
Trade Union has organized many soft skills’ class for female physicians, e.g. cooking classes, in order to help them in taking care of their families. Hospitals have held get-togethers on occasion of Vietnam Women’s Day 20th October. All activities were to create animated, friendly atmosphere, helping women to love their work more.
