A festival for trade unionists organized by province-based Industrial Parks (Ips)’Trade Union has just closed with a wide range of significant activities, aiming to practically take care of trade unionists and laborers. Along with the festival, the Trade Union has also linked with businesses to sell commodities with preferential prices.
With the theme of “Year for the benefit of trade unionists”, province-based IPs’Trade Union has just held its second festival for trade unionists and laborers.

A program on haircut free of charge for trade unionists and laborers at the festival
The festival was started by a public dance competition with the participation of 19 teams representing 19 trade union locals under province-based IPs’Trade Union. Le Nho Luong, Chairman of province-based IPs’Trade Union said that the festival aimed to diversify activities taking care of the material and spiritual lives of trade unionists and laborers. The public dance contest brought a useful playground to trade unionists and laborers while creating favorable conditions for trade union officials to exchange and share mutual experience, improving the quality of trade union activities in the coming time.
Businesses also accompanied the festival via welfare programs for trade unionists and laborers. Particularly, trade unionists and laborers had a chance to buy clean rice with subsided prices; enjoy healthcare free of charge; learn how to cut hair and make up free of charge…Businesses also gave gifts to trade unionists and laborers hit by fatal diseases or labor accidents…
Province-based IPs’Trade Union has so far made coherence with businesses and partners to carry out welfare programs on food, convenient services, healthcare…for trade unionists and laborers. Particularly, Nutifood this year has signed a program accompanying the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. In Binh Duong, Nutifood will support 3,500 milk packages worth around VND5billion for trade unionists and laborers. There were also many promotional programs with 10%-15% discounts on some Nutifood products at the festival.
Or, Kim Sang Agricultural Products Production-Processing Joint Stock Company in HCM city’s district 12 is realizing a “clean rice” program. Nguyen Thi Kieu Trang, CEO of the company said: “We will accompany trade union locals and trade unionists within one year with programs offering 15%-40% discounts on our rice products. Also, we will offer help to trade unionists with extremely difficult circumstances…”.
“Businesses brought the festival hi-quality products with many promotional programs. The festival was pervasive in businesses, trade unionists and laborers and also got more significant when trade unions at all levels have organized many activities towards trade union congresses at all levels, concretizing the theme of “Year for the benefit of trade unionists”…, said Mr.Luong.
