The statement was delivered by Nguyen Van Hiep, vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee on Jan. 15 at a working session with local sectors on the 1st assessment of loan demand of households living on three- and four-wheeled vehicles. Reportedly, localities have so far completed statistics of sub-poor and poor households living on three- and four-wheeled vehicles to provide them with preferential loans.
In the 1st assessment, 751 households qualified to enjoy the loans with a total value of over VND22bil. Each household enjoyed a maximum loan worth VND30mil.
Speaking at the session, Hiep noted that localities should soon complete the work and assess the implementation of the provincial People’s Committee’s Decision No.3915/QD-UBND on offering preferential loans for households affected by the Government's ban on modified three- and four-wheeled vehicles.
