In the morning of September 8, Chief Inspector of Department of Information and Communications issued a decision to sanction an administrative violation against Mr. T.V.H. with the amount of VND 7.5 million for the act of impersonating organizations and individuals and spreading false information on social networks related to the management and treatment of Covid-19 patients who are quarantined at the quarantine ward, thereby, affecting the treatment of Covid-19 patients and causing confusion in public opinion.
T.V.H. is a Covid-19 positive patient, quarantined and treated at a concentrated quarantine area at Han Thuyen Primary School at Hiep An ward of Thu Dau Mot city. Previously, on September 5, T.V.H. created a Zalo account named "Doctor Long" and post it on the group of "Han Thuyen Quarantine Zone" with the list of contents on September 5, causing confusion and anxiety for F0 patients who are being actively treated here.
On working with relevant authorities, Mr. T.V.H. admitted his violation and pledged not to repeat it. Department of Information and Communications recommends people to think twice before each action for themselves and the community to raise awareness of Covid-19 prevention and control, especially when the province is straining against the current epidemic.
