In order to ensure safety on fire fighting and prevention during Tet holiday, the provincial department of Fire Fighting and Prevention has set out concrete plans for the holiday season. On the days of the year-end, Binh Duong provincial fire fighting and prevention policemen force paid working sessions to businesses to grasp their implementation of fire fighting and prevention work.
Founded in March, 1997, Alcamax Packaging (Vietnam) Co Ltd. in Vietnam-Singapore I IP has so far had 371 laborers and more than 100 big clients such as Samsung, Sanyo, Vinamilk, Lavie… As a paper maker, there are many explosion risks. Therefore, the company’s top priorities are labor safety and fire control.
Pham Thi Kieu, the company’s human resources manager, said “In 2012, our company enjoyed the local department of Fire Fighting and Prevention’s guidance on fire control measures. So far, we have had 40 permanent members involving in fire fighting and prevention”. Through instructions, we have gradually improved shortcomings to ensure rescue conditions…
Meanwhile, Korea’s Estec Vina Co.Ltd. at Vietnam-Singapore I IP has paid attention to the work of fire fighting and prevention. The company now has 2,700 laborers with the on-the-spot fire control force of 90 members.
Dao Duc Hai, head of administration and human resources department of the company, said “Most of the company’s shortcomings of fire fighting and prevention work have been improved. In the past year, the company cooperated with the local department of Fire Fighting and Prevention to hold training on fire control for the company fire-fighters. The company work of fire fighting and prevention has been always excelled and received positive instructions from the provincial department of Fire Fighting and Prevention”.
Through the survey, fire fighting and prevention policemen offered concrete instructions on fire control for grassroot companies in a bid to minimize fires and losses at workshops with high risks of fires and explosions…
Colonel Nguyen Van Son, director of the provincial department of Fire Fighting and Prevention said that from now till Tet holiday and the 15th day of the first lunar month festival, the department has focused on checking safety on fire fighting and prevention at markets, trade centers, supermarkets, treasuries, banks, businesses, cinemas, lodging houses… In addition, the department’s branches have ensured technical facilities to be ready for fire and explosion control.
Yang Sang Yun, general director of Estec Vina Co.Ltd., said “Under close inspection of fire fighting and prevention policemen force, we feel more secure in mind”.
He added “We always think that well completion of fire fighting and prevention work is the most effective way to protect human and asset. And, it is a very essential work like production and business. We welcome working spirit and assistance of the provincial department of Fire Fighting and Prevention for us. We hope that the department’s inspectors should focus on close inspections on fire control work at our company and point out shortcomings to improve timely. The good deeds will minimize risks of fires and explosions…”.
