On the morning of December 19, the Provincial Steering Committee for Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue organized a fire fighting and rescue drill with the coordination of many forces at DSVK Joint Stock Company (Song Than 3 Industrial Park, Phu Tan Ward, Thu Dau Mot City). The drill had the force of Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Department, Ho Chi Minh City Police, Dong Nai Provincial Police. Mai Hung Dung, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue’s Provincial Steering Committee, attended the ceremony.
The drill had four phases: In phase 1, the grassroots-level leaders carried out the activities of guiding the escape, rescue, and initial fire fighting, and at the same time called to report the incident, accident and request for rescue; in phase 2, the forces and means of fire fighting and searche and rescue of the Provincial Police; in phase 3, the forces and means of the Provincial Military Command and agencies, organizations and individuals in the province participated in fire fighting and search and rescue; in phase 4, the forces and means of the Ho Chi Minh City Police and Dong Nai Provincial Police supported the fire fighting and search and rescue.
In his speech, Mr. Mai Hung Dung appreciated the drills on fire and explosion handling and search and rescue in the past time in the province as well as at DSVK Industrial Joint Stock Company. By conducting the drill, all levels, sectors, localities, and business leaders in the province will be better equipped to promote their roles and responsibilities for fire prevention and response within their respective units.
