The first International Fair for Investment and Trade (IFIT) opened in Hanoi on February 5, with the slogan “Linking strengths and international integration”.
Multiple products and services, including export, real estate, tourism, and brand advertising and franchising, are being showcased in 500 stands.
The three-day fair was co-organised by the Asia-Europe Trade Promotion and Investment Company (ASEM), the Association for Vietnamese Overseas, and the Hanoi Business Association.
This was part of the annual programme to promote trade and international investment in the domestic market, as well as helping Overseas Vietnamese operate businesses in their homeland.
Vu Tien Loc, Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), said this is the first time Vietnamese businesses abroad have organized such a trade fair in Vietnam. The event will help Vietnamese products penetrate international markets and provide foreign businesses with good investment opportunities, he added.
The fund for renovation of the Hung King Temple in Phu Tho province will solicit donations and offer free health check-ups and 1,000 books of free healthcare service to low-income earners attending the fair.
