* "VND0 booth" serves people in quarantine
In order to help agencies, units and quarantine checkpoints in Thu Dau Mot city to effectively prevent and control the epidemic, on Feb 5th, Le Thanh An, Director of VNPT Thu Dau Mot City, informed that this unit had donated 40 hand washing kits made from plastic pipes. Instead of a button directly pressing into disinfectant bottle, this kit uses pedals to avoid surface contact as disinfecting.
Disinfectant kits are transferred by VNPT Thu Dau Mot to the authorities.
The kits were invented by VNPT Binh Duong Youth Union. VNPT Thu Dau Mot city continued to produce 100 more kits to distribute to units participating in disease prevention and control in the area.
In the afternoon of the same day, Doan Dinh Chinh (32 years old) owner of an orchid garden in Thuan An city, gave 5 tons of rice to people in the quarantine area. Mr. Doan said that as soon as he learned about the epidemic outbreak in the province, especially Phu Hoa ward has been quarantined, he wanted to do something to help. He hoped the epidemic would soon go by so that everyone could return to normal life.
* In the afternoon of February 5th, Thu Dau Mot City Youth Union deployed "VND0 Booth" to help residents and workers in quarantine areas to celebrate Tet. The booths were located on Tran Van On Street, the section near Phu Hoa 1 residential area, had full necessities and items for quarantine days.
About 1,500 gifts included: Fruits, vegetables, sugar, milk... In particular, 1,000 gifts were given at these booths, the remaining 500 were given to residents and workers by volunteer students of Thu Dau Mot University.
In the next days, Thu Dau Mot City Youth Union will organize more booths in other quarantine areas. All gifts of these booths were donated by benefactors.
