Focus on overcoming difficulties to improve educational quality

On March 6, Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired a meeting to listen to Department of Education and Training’s reports on the project to consolidate, strengthen and develop human resources and facilities for Binh Duong education sector in the period 2020-2025, with an orientation for 2030. Also attending the conference were leaders of departments, branches and localities in the province.

According to Department of Education & Training, currently the ratio of teachers per class at all levels in the province does not meet the regulations of Ministry of Education & Training. After the 2019 Education Law takes effect (from December 31, 2023), the rate of teachers and administrators, who have not met professional qualifications, is still high. Regarding material facilities, in the period 2016-2023, localities in the province have paid attention to building schools, ensuring enough learning places for students and improving the quality of education. At the meeting, many opinions claimed that it is necessary to implement the project to encourage the development of the education sector. However, to ensure that the project is done synchronously and effectively, it is essential to have the participation of the entire political system, because in reality there are still many problems related to educational socialization policy, lack of land fund for school construction, some central regulations cannot be applied to provincial conditions...

Ha said that over the past years, the province has been very interested in education development in all aspects. However, because of the province's rapid urbanization pace, the problem of schools faces many difficulties. The Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee suggested that in the coming time, the province must focus on overcoming immediate difficulties, specifically finding solutions to train, attract and retain human resources; focus on reviewing facilities, land funds, and resources to build schools and classrooms, ensuring they meet the province's development requirements in the period of industrialization and modernization...
