Food inspection activities tightened during the coming Mid-Autumn Festival

Currently, consumer demand for cakes and candies, especially moon cakes, has increased dramatically. To prevent food poisoning and protect consumer health, the Provincial Department of Food Safety and Hygiene asks medical centers of districts, towns and cities to conduct food safety hygiene inspection activities during the Mid-Autumn Festival 2023.

Inspection time is from mid-September to October 12. Health offices and medical centers of districts, towns and cities are in charge and organize cross-functional and specialized inspection teams for small and medium-sized food production and business establishments and seasonal business establishments.  In particular, in-charge units coordinate with commune, ward and town medical stations to inspect and supervise places selling moon cakes, soft drinks, and traditional foods produced in craft villages and small retail establishments; eateries, street food...

During the inspection process, the Provincial Department of Food Safety and Hygiene requires units to promptly retrieve and recall products that do not ensure food safety, strictly handle violations and publicize names, address, type of infringing establishments and products on mass media; If there are criminal signs, please transfer to the police agency for handling according to law.
