Since beginning of this year, Provincial Food Safety and Hygiene Office has regularly collaborated with relevant units to inspect the production and business establishments of agricultural, forestry and aquatic products, and many other items. Namely, the office set up 969 inspection delegations, including 786 interdisciplinary delegations to inspect 10,970 establishments; 1,363 violating establishments were detected. The office sanctioned 35 violating establishments with a total fine of VND 174.4 million, warned 1,328 establishments off violations, destroyed 46.8 kg of violating raw materials and food. In addition to the inspection, Provincial Food Safety and Hygiene Office took 7,546 samples to monitor food pollution, of which 176 samples did not meet regulations.
