Security activities and maintenance in Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park 1 (VSIP1) have been asserted as a practical and effective model to be expanded in terms of permanent people’s militias.
VSIP1 is the first-ever industrial park established in the province covering 500 ha across 3 wards of Binh Hoa, An Phu, Thuan Giao in Thuan An Town. During operation, the militia force and public security have maintained the orders; however, strikes and situations of disturbance still occurred. Thefts in companies have affected employees’ psychology.
People’s militia force is on patrol at VSIP1
To ensure security in VSIP1, Thuan An Town Military HQ was assigned to coordinate with functional agencies to patrol and protect the areas. In bordering areas and at rush hour, the force maintains patrol and control situations according to their competence and authority. Besides, they strictly follow the coordination information of specialized security force; thus, after 3 months of operation, investors are more confident to invest. The coordinated security maintenance has been highly appreciated.
The town’s Military HQ will improve operations by peaking crime fighting and training the force to be qualified to police the area and reduce thefts, robs, and security disturbance.
Provincial People’s Committee Chair Le Thanh Cung praised up operation of the permanent militia force and called upon Thuan An Town’s Military HQ to improve operation quality and extend the model to other districts and towns.
