- Sir, this year's Mid-Autumn Festival will have which activities to bring joy to children, especially children having difficult circumstances?
- Right from the beginning of the year, LISA sector planned for mid-autumn festival organization for children, advised PPC on the content, fund, implementation steps; and has actively mobilized socialization resources to give gifts, scholarships to poor children. Activities during the Mid-Autumn Festival will comprise cultural shows, camping, handmade lantern contest, children sports tournaments, visiting, exploring historical sites, seminars, clubs according to conditions of each locality.
This year Mid-Autumn Festival will be held in North Tan Uyen district with the participation of more than 3,000 children. They will listen to the President’s greeting letter, take part in lantern parade, lights, enjoy special art show, receiving gifts... In addition, provincial Children Sponsoring Fund will organize Mid-Autumn festival and award scholarships to disadvantaged studious children.
- Sir, why will this year’s Mid-Autumn festival be held North Tan Uyen?
- In recent years, province-level Mid-Autumn festivals have moved to localities. Namely, in 2014 the festival was held in Phu Giao district, in 2015 in Bau Bang district, and this year in North Tan Uyen district. This is also the PPC’s directive with the aim to bring recreation activities to grassroots level; simultaneously enable children in remote areas to participate in cultural, art and sports activities to enrich the spiritual life. This year's Mid- Autumn festival hosted by North Tan Uyen district will be a fun, useful playground so that all children in communes could have the opportunity to welcome "Full moon festival" with meaningful activities.
- Which things are new in this year festival compared to 2015? Up to this time, the province has planned for how many locations of full moon party and presenting gifts to children, sir?
- A new feature of this year's mid-autumn festival is that localities in the province will focus on the theme "For a safe life, prevention of children accidents, injuries" in order to keep improving awareness and responsibilities of agencies, organizations, families, individuals and children in terms of organizing recreational activities for children but must ensure safety and prevention of accidents, injuries.
LISA sector in collaboration with sectors, unions, schools have organizes and given instructions on organizing activities in the community to attract children; oriented and educated children on preserving national cultural identities, participating in folk games; encouraged children to create games, toys; use domestically produced toys.
Up to the present time, according to brief reports of districts, towns, city and relevant units, the province is expected to have over 100 locations of full moon party, 15,000 children would receive gifts worth nearly VND3 billion. Total expenditure of this year Mid-Autumn Festival’s organization is over VND6.5 billion, including VND2.5 billion from provincial budget, the rest contributed by benefactors.
