The local department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs yesterday held a summing-up ceremony of ‘For women’s advancement’ activity 2009 and set out action plans for 2010. In the past year, activities of ‘For women’s advancement’ reached remarkable results. Accordingly, over 45,000 laborers enjoyed jobs, 62% of which were for women, over 4,000 poor women accessed loans, over 70,000 sisters enjoyed illiteracy elimination and so on.
Addressing the conference, Nguyen Van Hiep, vice chairman of the local People’s Committee and head of the ‘For women’s advancement’ board assessed that the ‘For women’s advancement’ activity reached significant changes of awareness in political system and social life and suggesting that the board of ‘For women’s advancement’ should steer localities to excel the activity.
