Cohesion between generations
The 111th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8) and the 1,981st of Hai Ba Trung uprising organized by Provincial Women's Union, we acknowledge sincere feelings of women union's staff. Compliments and care of the younger generation to the previous generation made everyone feel more heartwarming. Nguyen Thi The, former Vice Chairwoman of Provincial Women's Union, said she was very happy to be present at this such warm gathering. Atmosphere of the meeting reminded her of the days when she was an active union official being enthusiastic about helping and improving the position of women in family and society.
According to Truong Thanh Nga, Chairwoman of Provincial Women's Union, women in the whole province have actively studied, worked, built happy families while studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thoughts, morals, and lifestyle, striving to train themselves, proving the good personalities of women in the accelerated industrialization and modernization period of the country. Women are always "Self-confidence, self-esteem, faithfulness, resourcefulness", preserve and develop traditions, improve the virtues of Vietnamese women. Besides, Women's Union at all levels in the province strengthened the propaganda of practical activities, works, such as talks, heritage trips, and care for Vietnamese heroic mothers, women and children having difficult circumstances, protect environmental sanitation. Especially women at all levels did very well charity work, ensured the implementation of COVID-19 prevention and control.
Many meaningful activities
At district, town and city-levels as well as grassroots unions in the province, events celebrating International Women's Day were held solemnly, meaningfully and strictly followed to the recommendations of Ministry of Health. Women's Union of North Tan Uyen district held an "Ao Dai" contest with the theme "North Tan Uyen women promote the national traditional beauty". The contest had 40 contestants from 10 communes and towns within two age groups from 18 to 30 and 35 to 45.
Nguyen Thi Bich Van, President of Dau Tieng district Women's Union, said that due to the impact of the pandemic, based on their needs and actual situation, the district Women's Union directed branches to organize activities to celebrate appropriately the women's day in order to educate about the proud traditions of Vietnamese women; extensive propagate the meaning of International Women's Day and the Hai Ba Trung's uprising. The activities aimed to affirm and honor the great contributions and sacrifices made by generations of women for the cause of national revolution, liberation and reunification. On this occasion, Women Union's activities focused on practical works, quality assurance, avoided formality, encouraged members and women to participate in, create a joyful and vibrant atmosphere among officials, members, all classes of women. Women's Union of Dau Tieng district also developed a plan to implement and instruct the grassroots level to carry out practical, effective, safe and economical celebrations among its members while assuring the epidemic prevention and control.
One meaningful job of this Women's Union was that each branch committed to regular care at least one heroic Vietnamese mother, policy family, family with meritorious service to the revolution. Grassroots unions carried out practical works to welcome women's congress at all levels.
At the meeting on International Women's Day (March 8) recently held by Provincial Women's Union, Vo Van Minh, Permanent Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Council, presented flowers and congratulated women. Mr. Vo said that the year 2021 was a meaningful year for Women's Union. Besides regular task, there will be women congress at all level and the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels. Therefore, Provincial Women's Union needs to actively prepare well propaganda activities as well as necessary conditions for the successful organization of the congresses. In addition, unions need to boldly promote its role, actively participate in the election, effectively fulfill responsibilities in local election organizations and consultation conferences. Women's Unions need to proactively advise, introduce women who are eligible for National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels . Mr. Vo hoped that women in Binh Duong would uphold good traditions, make efforts to rise up, make a worthy contribution to the province's renovation and development.
