Since 2007, provincial People’s Committee has regularly organized dialogues with trade union officials and workers. This task has become a forum for workers, helping them keep their mind on work and have a strong attachment to Binh Duong homeland.

Binh Duong now has around 1 million workers, 85% of whom are immigrants. This is a very important workforce, significantly contributing to the cause of the local socio-economic development. Dialogues with provincial leaders are seen as a forum for workers, helping them remove obstacles in order to keep their mind on work.

Over the past time, dialogues between provincial leaders, trade union officials and workers were organized very methodically with many “hot” issues pertaining to order-security, healthcare, employment, social welfare... raised and answered satisfactorily. These dialogues also contributed to promote labor relationship at businesses.
In addition, many petitions by laborers in the fields of healthcare, education, traffic safety…were handled effectively under the instruction of provincial People’s Committee. Nguyen Van Lam, a worker of Grand Art Furniture Co.Ltd. said that through such dialogues, workers had a chance to express their aspirations…
Efficiency from forum
Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Chairwoman of provincial Labor Union said that over the past ten years, provincial People’s Committee held 36 dialogues with trade union officials and workers. Some petitions were settled opportunely by functional agencies under the instruction of provincial People’s Committee. In 2017, provincial People’s Committee has further coordinated with the Trade Union to direct the settlement of petitions by workers; instructed districts and towns to continue maintaining the organization of dialogues with trade union officials and workers…These dialogues will become a forum and a useful information channel for workers, businesses and authorities at all levels for more mutual understanding.
From workers’ demand through dialogues with provincial leaders, provincial Labor Union has just built a labor culture center of more than 2.3 hectares at Viet-Sing residential estate in Thuan An town. Provincial Labor Union is also continuing to ask for land fund to build other labor cultural centers in towns of Ben Cat, Tan Uyen, Di An and Bau Bang district.
Such these apart, the province has always made efforts to mobilize all resources to take care of workers’ material and spiritual lives. The province has also excelled at social housing development for workers. In addition, trade Unions at all levels of the province have taken good care of workers via such practical activities as constructing kindergartens, “breast milk” cabins; organizing stores with essential commodities bought at basic price; tightening control over the quality of mid-shift meals; well dealing with year-end policies; organizing periodical medical examination; visiting ill laborers…
