Socio-economic perspectives change every day, especially in terms of fundamental rural infrastructure. In 2012, rural infrastructure investment has reached VND 900 billion, of which, VND 470 billion was collected from the budget, VND 8.1 billion from credit funds, VND 275 billion from enterprises, VND 36.1 billion from public equity, and VND 127 billion from other sources.
Thanks to the mentioned investment, irrigation and vegetable watering system were ensured. Over 42% of schools in the locality have been accredited as nationally standard while 80.8% of roads were asphalted and 99.65% of the public had access to national power grid. Over 96% of the population has been supplied with clean water. Common markets have been built across 51.7% of local communes, shrinking poverty ratio to 1.42% and increasing qualified employees to 44%...
In the stage of 2011 to 2015, Binh Duong Provincial authority has selected 30 localities to implement new rural area plan. Of the selected localities, 5 have been targeted to completion in 2013 including Bach Dang in Tan Uyen, Chanh Phu Hoa in Ben Cat, Thanh An in Dau Tieng, An Son in Thuan An, and Long Tan in Phu Giao. Currently, the 5 mentioned communes have been accredited with 11 and more criteria.
As for general plan, new rural area construction has been approved across the localities in terms of infraconstruction investment and socio-economic planning.
Binh Duong Province is now in the fourth step out of seven basic construction steps of national standard program. The achievements were thanks to efforts of sectors, agencies and especially leadership of the steering board of new rural area construction which is the basis for continual effective outcome for the time to come.
