The art piece named “Dau chan phia truoc” (footsteps ahead) made by artiste Le Ngoc Diep has been awarded with a golden medal in group A of fruit carving contest last June 6 in Suoi Tien Cultural Park. Talking about his art piece, Mr. Le Ngoc Diep said that he wanted to commemorate the trip of Uncle Ho to find ways to save the nation 100 years ago.
He has spent almost one month to prepare for the art piece to be completed in 30 hours for 5m long, 2.9m high, 1.2m wide and 2 tons of fruits. He has chosen 50 types of fruits to complete his art work which depicts a ships with symbols of Uncle Ho and national emblem.
This is the first time that an artist from Binh Duong won highest place in the contest organized yearly in Suoi Tien Theme Park.
“It is beyond my expectation but the award encourages me much to continue my art work later on and I will aim at works with peculiar images of Uncle Ho, the Party, the nation and the people of Vietnam,” said Diep.
