Fund for the poor: Of the humanity

In 5 years, the movement of calling for donation to Fund for The Poor has ignited major force of the people. Enterprises in the province has, especially led the donation to the poor. Photo by Ho Van By the end of 2013, the fund has been donated with over VND 76.878 billion to take care of the poor, Provincial Fatherland Front Committee reported.Thanks to such amount, all-level fatherland front committees of the province have paid out to support the poor.Accordingly, 1,669 charity core houses have been newly built and repaired at the cost of VND 36.038 billion to accumulate to 6,103 charity core houses in the province. Besides, all-level fatherland front committees have been supporting the poor in terms of health-care and free medicinesAs recorded, in 2013 and 5 months of 2014, various people have donated including the big names of Becamex, Thanh Le, and 3-2 General Company.Recently, family of Mr. Mai Van Ly residing at Vinh Tan Commune of Tan Uyen Town has donated VND 1.4 billion to the fund for social charity, of which VND 1.35 billion and USD 1,200 for the Fund for the Poor.Receiving the great donation, Mr. Tu Xuan Son, Deputy Chair of Provincial Fatherland Front Committee thanked the family for the contribution.“The amount is helpful for thousands of poor families who are in need of money to settle down,” said Tu Xuan Son.It can be put that the donation drive for the poor and the Fund for The Poor in the province have contributed tremendous forces to the poor, encouraging them to escape poverty in the sense of humanity and characteristics of the people.Reported by Ho Van – Translated by Vi Bao
