Developing participants right after the launching ceremony
With the goal of contributing to fulfilling development targets on national social insurance, unemployment insurance and health insurance under the set plan, this is the third campaign on the implementation of national social insurance and health insurance in 2022. Right after the ceremony, officials and employees of the province’s Social Insurance and Post Office participated in a parade with communication messages about the policies of social insurance, unemployment insurance and health insurance on main roads, at markets and in residential areas across the province. After the parade, leaders of the social insurance sector joined in small propaganda groups to directly mobilize people to participate in voluntary social insurance and household health insurance.

At the family of Nguyen Thi Yen Tuyet, Nguyen Duy Hieu, Deputy Director of Binh Duong Social Insurance clearly stated the purpose and meaning of the two types of voluntary social insurance and household health insurance, voluntary social insurance policies, payment methods, rights and interests when participating in. The propaganda group also directly mobilized a number of household members to participate in voluntary social insurance.
Mrs.Ly added that starting from October 18, Binh Duong Social Insurance has assigned each comrade in the directorate to actively coordinate with the Party Committees and authorities of communes, wards and towns to organizes propaganda on social insurance and health insurance policies with many specific solutions, including organizing small groups that go to residential areas and households to directly mobilize people to participate in voluntary social insurance and health insurance with the purpose of helping people understand, support, share community responsibilities, ensuring pension and health insurance in old age. As a result, from October 18 to 22, Binh Duong Social Insurance developed more than 8,000 participants. On this occasion, districts, towns and cities’ social insurance agencies also actively advised the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities on issuing documents directing the People's Committees of communes, wards and townships to simultaneously launch propaganda activities on social insurance and health insurance policies.
Increasing social insurance coverage for whole people
Identifying social insurance and health insurance as an important policy of the social welfare system, contributing to the local political stability and socio-economic development, over the past time, Binh Duong Social Insurance focused on solutions to develop subjects participating in social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance. Particularly, the unit attached special importance to propaganda to raise awareness of officials, Party members and people about the purpose, meaning, requirements and tasks of participating in social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance. For better results, localities in the province have put the target of people participating in social insurance into their socio-economic development plans.
Entering 2022, the situation of Covid-19 pandemic has continued affecting the number of people participating in social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance. Therefore, as of October 22, 2022, the number of people participating in social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance in the province was still low. Specifically, the number of people participating in compulsory social insurance was 997,400 people, or 86.7% of the target assigned by the province. There were 10,600 people joining in voluntary social insurance or 39.74% of the target assigned by the province; 979,300 joining in unemployment insurance or 86.7% of the target assigned by the province; the coverage rate reached 88% of the population.
Mrs. added that for the development of the number of those participating in social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance in 2022 in the province achieving high results, provincial Social Insurance needs to get drastic directions and the participation of the People's Committees of districts, towns, and cities while implementing solutions to promote propaganda, mobilization and bring development targets on participants, increasing the rate of health insurance coverage in the evaluation of emulation and commendation at the end of the year.
