Late June 8, provincial Steering Board of Foreign Information, Party Committee’s Commission for Propaganda-Education, Department of Information-Communications and Journalists Association co-held a conference to partially review their foreign information work in the first half of the year, which was presided over by Nguyen Minh Giao, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Propaganda-Education, Head of provincial Steering Board of Foreign Information.
Reportedly, provincial Steering Board of Foreign Information in the first half of the year excelled at foreign information work. Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council and People’s Committee received 12 high-ranking delegations together with foreign corporations; allowed 300 delegations with 1,270 staff of sectors and businesses in the province to go abroad in order to learn experience and promote trade activities; continued well realizing cooperation and friendship activities with foreign localities.
Regarding foreign economic relations, provincial People’s Committee instructed relevant agencies to focus on marketing and trade promotion. The province also boosted foreign cultural exchanges. Besides, press agencies in the province excelled at foreign information dissemination; took initiative in propaganda and promotion of a flexible image of Binh Duong to friends at home and abroad; bent on propaganda of the organization of Party congresses at all levels, the “Studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals” campaign, the East Sea situation, achievements on the local socio-economic and cultural development, national defence-security…
Concluding the conference, Mr.Giao acknowledged contributive ideas by delegates and would add them into the province’s foreign information activities in the coming time such as propagandizing foreign information in many languages; editing documents on Binh Duong’s achievements to serve provincial Party Congress as well as popularizing them to friends at home and abroad; unanimously approving the implementation of Binh Duong’s logo as gift in foreign relation activities…
