A shining symbol of revolutionary heroism
Reviewing the glorious history of the Party, military and people of Thu Dau Mot through the revolutionary periods, especially the April 30, 1975 victory, Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation emphasized that while time moves on, the victory in the resistance war against the U.S. will forever be a shining page in history—a symbol of revolutionary heroism and human intelligence, a great victory of international importance and deep historical significance. The military and people of Thu Dau Mot made great, heroic contributions, with countless valiant battles and generations of heroes whose names and hometowns are etched in the nation’s struggle.

During those hard-fought resistance days, every inch of homeland “soaked in blood and bones” became a symbol of the spirit of “dying for the Fatherland to live”. Every house became a secret hideout, every road was a strategic passageway and every citizen was a steadfast revolutionary fighter. Communist veterans, namely Truong Van Nham, Ho Van Cong, Tran Tu Binh, Nguyen Van Tiet, Van Cong Khai, Huynh Van Nghe, Huynh Van Luy... and generations of loyal cadres and soldiers of the homeland who devoted their lives to the revolutionary struggle will forever be the pride and love of the Party Committee, army and people of the province.
Along with that, there are countless heroic examples, from the young American-killing warrior Ho Van Men, whose name was affectionately mentioned by Uncle Ho many times, to the K13 Special Forces Team, which was once the fear of the enemy; from the Ben Cat Female Artillery Team - a heroic unit of the Armed Forces, to the K5 secret group of loyal high school students in the heart of the enemy; from the female youth volunteer Doan Thi Lien - a beautiful symbol of youth during the resistance war, to thousands of heroes and American-killing soldiers... All have written glorious history for the heroic homeland of Song Be - Binh Duong.
And there is still the sacred, noble image of heroic Vietnamese mothers across the country who had to hold back their tears and “cry silently” before the irreparable pain of loss. Those silent examples of sacrifice have become the living symbols of the great national unity - the source of strength for all victories; they are immortal flames, forever illuminating the revolutionary path for future generations...
Continuing the "miracle story"
After 50 years of national reunification, 40 years of implementing the renewal process and 28 years of establishing the province, when studying Binh Duong, scientists have affirmed: The development of Binh Duong in the past time is "a miraculous development story". That development story has been written with the spirit of innovation, creativity, daring thinking, knowing how to do, the persistent and continuous efforts and struggles through many terms of previous generations of leaders, of the entire political system, the business community and people from all strata.
In this new revolutionary era, Mr. Loi called on all officials, Party members, enterprises and citizens to uphold the unity and spirit of the Spring 1975 Victory, overcome all challenges and join hands to lead the nation into a new era—an era of renewal, confidence, motivation and new achievements.
In a sacred moment, Colonel, Hero of the People's Armed Forces and People's Doctor Pham Van Trong—who fought in both wars against the American imperialists and for national defense shared: “Though half a century has passed, the memories of the anti-U.S. war remain vivid in our hearts. And the mark in my military life that I will always remember is the protection, shelter and help of the people, of the Party Committee and the authorities where we stopped on the march as well as during the battle.
Following the tradition of our ancestors, representing the young generation, Nguyen Hoa Kim Thai, Vice Head of provincial Student Liaison Committee pledged to study and innovate tirelessly and dedicate her talent and enthusiasm to build up a prosperous, civilized, modern and affectionate Binh Duong—a truly livable place and a city named after President Ho Chi Minh.
On this occasion, provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Fatherland Front Committee honored and awarded 50 outstanding collectives and individuals who made notable contributions to the development of Binh Duong from 1975 to 2025.
