*Supporting VND30mln for Vietnamese Marine Police
Early July 15, provincial Former Volunteer Youth Association and Volunteer Youth Team co-held a get-together to mark the 64th anniversary of Traditional Day of Vietnamese Volunteer Youth Force (July 15, 1950-July 15, 2014). Attending the event were more than 300 delegates, including members of the Volunteer Youth Associations at all levels and representatives of sectors in the province.
At the get-together, participating delegates reviewed the glorious tradition of volunteer youth force of Vietnam and Thu Dau Mot province (now being Binh Duong). The first Vietnamese Youth Volunteer team was set up in Dai Tu district’s Hong mountain area in the northern mountainous province of Thai Nguyen on July 15, 1950. Thu Dau Mot province’s Youth Volunteer team in the name of the Phu Loi Cam Thu Team 112 was also established on December 1, 1965 with more than 100 members. Members of the team took part in the battles of Phuoc Long, Dong Xoai, Nha Do-Bong Trang, Bau Bang I, Bau Bang II, Lai Khe, Loc Ninh, Can Dam bridge, Can Le bridge, Tac Niet airport…After completing tasks, they have very enthusiastic in economic development and made contributions to the local movements and campaigns.
On this occasion, provincial Volunteer Youth Force awarded the certificates to 64 former volunteer youths for their excellent performance in the campaign of “Studying and following Uncle’s exemplary morals” and business activities; donated VND30mln to Vietnamese Marine Police and gave bicycles for members’ children with good academic results.
