Early July 27, Phu Giao district held a get-together for Vietnamese heroic mothers, the families of war invalids, martyrs, outstanding policy beneficiary families…on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day.
The whole district is now home to 2,207 policy beneficiary families and the local authorities have well realized the policies of “Paying debt of gratitude”. In 2011 alone, the district visited and presented 870 gifts to policy beneficiaries, built and donated 4 gratitude houses to policy beneficiaries in need of housing with a total expense of VND300mln.
On this occasion, the district’s People’s Committee granted the certificates of “Exemplary citizen, exemplary revolutionary family” to 32 outstanding policy beneficiary families; awarded the certificates of merit to 6 collectives and 8 individuals for their excellent achievements in the movement of “Paying debt of gratitude” and presented 4 wheelchairs to seriously wounded soldiers.
