Get-togethers marking VWU’s 84th founding anniversary held

Early October 20, Di An ward’s Women’s Union held a get-together to mark the 84th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) (October 20, 1930-October 20, 2014) and the 4th anniversary of Vietnamese Women’s Day (October 20, 2010-October 20, 2014).

The get-together took place in a joyful atmosphere with singing and dancing items about Di An during the 15 years of construction and development.

Over the past nine months, the town’s Women’s Unions at all levels offered help to more than 3,580 women with more than VND8.7bln for economic development; focused on realizing the Project 345 on education of Vietnamese women’s virtues in the period of accelerating industrialization and modernization, the Project 704 on educating 5 million mothers about ways to well bring up children…The town’s Women’s Union also honored 25 collectives for their good performance in the emulation movement of setting achievements to celebrate the 15^th anniversary of the local re-establishment.

On this occasion, the town’s Women’s Union awarded the certificates of merit to 39 outstanding individuals in the 2014 “Women with traffic safety for family happiness” writing contest.

*In the afternoon of the same day, Phu Giao district’s People’s Committee held a get-together to mark the 84^th founding anniversary of the VWU.

The club for the district’s female leaders also made its debut with 37 members. It is responsible for raising awareness of all the local women in reproductive health, family planning; overseeing the implementation of the State’s policies for female laborers while creating favorable conditions for the local women to improve their education level…

*Bau Bang district’s Women’s Union yesterday reviewed the glorious tradition of the VWU over the past 84 years.

Since April 1, the date of the district’s establishment, the district’s Women’s Union has worked very stably. It affiliates have also actively mobilized members to well realize emulation movements…

It is known that activities of the local Women’s Union have contributed to raising the local women’s competence in all aspects, supporting them to rise up out of poverty and build up “well-off, equal, advanced and happy” families.

*Early October 20, the Women’s Union of Phu My ward in TDM town organized a get-together to mark the 84^th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) (October 20, 1930-October 20, 2014) and the 4^th anniversary of Vietnamese Women’s Day (October 20, 2010-October 20, 2014).

At the get-together, the local women reviewed the glorious tradition of Vietnamese women over the past 84 years. In any periods, Vietnamese women always deserve the eight golden words of “heroism, undauntedness, loyalty and responsibilities” presented by Uncle Ho.

The ward’s Women’s Union has also actively studied, creatively worked and reaped important results in aspects. In 2014, the local Women’s Union has helped members get nearly VND2.2bln in preferential loan for economic development; promoted the Project of “Education and propaganda of Vietnamese women’s virtues in the period of accelerating industrialization and modernization”…

*The same day, the Women’s Union of Tan Hiep commune in Phu Giao district organized a get-together to mark the 84^th founding anniversary of the VWU.

Upholding the glorious tradition of Vietnamese women, women in Tan Hiep commune made contributions to the local development over the past time. So far, the ward’s Women’s Union supported more than VND3bln for the local women to develop home based business, contributing to promoting the national target program on new rural construction.

*In the evening of October 19, the Women’s Union branch of quarter 7 in TDM city’s Hiep Thanh ward also held a get-together to celebrate the 84^th founding anniversary of the VWU.

The local women had a chance to review the glorious tradition of the VWU and take part in a game named “Name your price”.

On this occasion, the branch also presented 10 gifts worth VND200,000 each to members with difficult circumstances and honored 4 others for their good performance for four consecutive years.
