Getting ready for Binh Duong provincial Vovinam Tournament 2024

From September 6 to 8, Binh Duong provincial Vovinam Tournament 2024 will take place at the Binh Duong Training and Sports Center. The tournament gathers 9 units from the province, along with a business club participating in the competition.

Vovinam is strongly developed as a kind of martial arts in Binh Duong province

According to the tournament regulations, the fighters will compete in two main events of combat competition and demonstration (forms) and 14 weight categories for competition. In the demonstration event, the athletes will compete in 10 different categories of men's and women's individual empty hand forms, men's and women's individual weapon forms, mixed gender pair forms, men's multiple weapon forms, women's multiple empty hand forms, and kicking and self-defense techniques for women.

In the women's division, athletes will compete in 6 weight categories. Meanwhile, in the men's division, athletes will compete in 8 different weight categories. The organizers have announced that the Vovinam competition rules issued by the General Department of Sports and Physical Training will be applied in this year's tournament.

It is known that the tournament is organized to commemorate the 86th anniversary of the establishment of Vovinam in Vietnam (1938 to 2024). At the same time, it continues to implement the campaign of "the people exercise in following the great example of President Ho Chi Minh".
