Getting rich from general planting and husbandry model
Family of Mr. Dinh Ngoc Khuong, born in 1967, and Mrs. Luong Thi Hong, born in 1973 was successful with general planting and husbandry model to get rich by combining rubber tree planting and rearing of chicken, toads, and fish at Nuoc Vang Hamlet of An Binh Commune in Phu Giao District.Destiny to the land of An BinhUnder the canopy of the deep green rubber trees is the open farm for 40,000 chicken and about 50,000 toads and fish.The rearing area is thoroughly invested into by their own management and efforts.Mr. Khuong said that his family currently has 10ha for rubber trees in Binh Duong and Dak Nong. As he fails to employ guards to his business, he only invests into husbandry in Binh Duong Province.“I am a farmer from the land of poverty in Nam Dinh. My childhood was with all possible work with the hope to escape poverty. It was destined to me to stay here in Phu Giao – the land offering me a home and a place to work for stable income,” he said.After meeting his wife, Mrs. Hong at An Binh Commune in 1991, he opened a carpenter shop and failed to earn. By 1994, he left his wife and children for Saigon to work as a rickshaw driver. By 1995, he went to Nha Trang to work as a carpenter. By 1996, he went to Dong Nai to be hired by a relative family where he intended to settle down; however, he was destined to Phu Giao as he and his wife chose to use up their savings for 5ha of land to grow rubber trees in Phu Giao.To earn a careerNot stopping at growing rubber trees, Khuong saught out to rear swines and lingzhi fungi. “The time of rearing swines and planting fungi has gave us relatively high income. By 2006, the pandemic of blue ear has bankcrupted my swine rearing while the fungi growing stopped at nothing due to lack of experiences. I decided to invest to chicken,” he said.By the beginning of 2007, he invested VND 2.5 billion to a farmstead of chicken in open cage and accepted processing contracts for a company from Dong Nai Province. Khuong decided to be independent from breeds of chicken and consuming markets. Combining with chicken, he reared fish and toads.Currently, the husbandry is taken care by his worker, Khuong is present at the site to ensure conformity with regulations and pandemic prevention.Mr. Tran Van Lam, Head of Nuoc Van Hamlet said that Khuong has always been observing vaccination and disinfecting.
