Gift visits paid to people of disabilities and social welfare

On December 6, the Red Cross of Binh Duong province organized a delegation to visit and give gifts to the beneficiaries of social protection at the provincial Social Work and Protection Center at An Thanh ward in Thuan An city. Attending the event was Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Minh, Deputy Head of the provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization, Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Trinh, Chairwoman of the provincial Red Cross.

The delegation pays gift visit to support the caring and nurturing of social beneficiaries at the provincial Social Work and Protection Center

The members of the delegation visited the health and life situation of social protection beneficiaries at the center. To share and support the center to have more conditions to care for and nurture social protection beneficiaries, on this occasion, the provincial Red Cross awarded the Center 2 tons of rice, 100 boxes of noodles and 500kg of vegetables and fruits at total value of VND 40 million.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Trinh said, this is the sentiment, showing the concern and sharing of the Provincial Redemption Association as well as the benefactors who have joined hands to contribute to taking care and encouraging social protection beneficiaries to try their best to overcome difficulties. The provincial Red Cross is always interested and will mobilize more resources to continue supporting the center in caring and nurturing the subjects.

* On the same date, the provincial Red Cross gifted presents to 40 members of the provincial Association of the Blind.

Each gift included necessities of vegetables at the cost of about VND 300,000 as mobilized by the provincial Red Cross from units and benefactors.

The event was part of supporting activities that the provincial Red Cross is implementing to share the hardship that the blind in the province are facing, especially those of harsh circumstance and working people affected by COVID-19 epidemic.
