Gift visits to socially privileged families and children of harsh circumstances

* Nearly 600 gifts given to the poor for Tet

In the morning of January 21, Vo Van Ba, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of Internal Political Affairs of Binh Duong provincial Party Committee and a delegation of officials from departments, branches and localities visited and presented gifts to socially privileged families, poor households and disadvantaged children especially in harsh circumstances in 3 communes of Hieu Liem, Tan My, and Thuong Tan of Bac Tan Uyen district on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2021.

The delegation visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese heroic mothers and people who contributed to the revolution; each gift was worth VND 3 million. Vo Van Ba graciously inquired about health and encouraged Vietnamese heroic mothers and people with meritorious services to lead happy and healthy lives. At the same time, he expressed gratitude to the great sacrifices and contributions of those who contributed to the revolution. He suggested that the local commissars and authorities should pay regular attention and take good care of the spirit and material lives of socially privileged families and people with meritorious services to the revolution.

* In the morning of the same day, Binh Duong provincial Red Cross coordinated with Charitable Board of Binh Duong Vietnamese Buddhism Association presented gifts to 589 people in hardship in the province for Lunar New Year 2021 celebration.

People receiving the gifts are students, workers, officials, members, and volunteers working in Binh Duong but having families in the middle land of Vietnam that had been hit by destructive storms and floods recently. At the same time, Binh Duong provincial Red Cross mobilized with Charitable Board of Binh Duong Vietnamese Buddhism Association to present VND 500,000 to each of them. Besides, Binh Duong provincial Red Cross also added gifts of necessities at VND 500,000 each, making up total value of nearly VND 600 million for this time’s charitable drive initiated by Binh Duong provincial Red Cross to celebrate Tet for the poor – Lunar New Year 2021.
