In the morning of November 16, the provincial Sponsoring Council of Children's Fund organized the 20th time awarding scholarships to students to overcome difficulties and disadvantaged children in 2021. Attending the event was Mr. Nguyen Van Loc, Standing Member, Head of the provincial Committee for Mass Mobilization and Chairman of the provincial Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee, Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha, Standing Member of the provincial Party Committee and Deputy Chairman of the provincial People's Committee.
The program has awarded 759 gifts, 654 scholarships, 48 bicycles, and 8 computers to disadvantaged children to overcome difficulties and study well for many years in a row. It also provided long-term sponsorship for 105 orphans due to the Covid-19 epidemic. The total funding for granting in the program is nearly VND 3 billion. On the occasion, socio-economic organizations have donated VND 10.5 billion, helping the provincial Children's Fund to extend to take care of disadvantaged children in the province.
The program is one of the activities of the provincial Children's Fund, aiming to take care of children, pupils and students in difficult circumstances, children of poor and near-poor families, families of workers who are living in poverty working and living in Binh Duong. Particularly for the year, the program is also interested in children orphaned due to the Covid-19 epidemic. By the care of the whole society, these children have been helped to overcome difficulties in life to study well.
