*Garment-textile sector’s Youth Union supports workers with difficult circumstances

On the evening of January 6, the Youth Union Central Committee coordinated with Saigon Beer - Alcohol - Beverage Joint Stock Corporation (Sabeco) to organize the launching ceremony of the program "Sharing Tet-Prosperous year of the Dragon” at Ngo Quyen Park in Thuan An city’s Lai Thieu ward. The program was attended by Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Secretary of the Youth Union Central Committee, Chairwoman of the Young Pioneer Organization’s Central Council; Nguyen Van Loc, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Council; Bui Thanh Nhan, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; Nguyen Thi My Hang, Chairwoman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Thi Ngoc Xuan, Deputy Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation.

The 2024 program "Sharing Tet - Prosperous Year of the Dragon" is for workers facing difficulties, due to businesses affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. This is one of activities in the 2024 Tet community program organized by the Youth Union Central Committee and Sabeco. According to the plan, the program will give Tet gifts for more than 10,000 workers, fishermen and border guards in 25 provinces and cities across the country. In Binh Duong, the program offered 400 gifts worth VND 700,000 each to workers with difficult circumstances in districts, towns and cities in the province.

Mrs.Trang said that implementing the movement of “Whole country joining hands for the poor - leaving no one behind”, this year's Tet care program of the Youth Union Central Committee aims at taking care of many targeted people. Particularly, the program "Sharing Tet - Prosperous Year of the Dragon" is aimed at workers. Through activities to encourage workers to overcome difficulties and further strive together with businesses to improve in production, business and life.

*Early January 7, the Trade Union of provincial Textile and Garment Industry held a conference to summarize its activities in 2023 and deploy key tasks for 2024.

On this occasion, the Trade Union coordinated with units and provincial Labor Union to provide support for nearly 20 trade unionists and workers with extremely difficult circumstances; awarded the certificates of merit from provincial People's Committee Chairman and the Trade Union of the Textile and Garment Industry to many groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in Trade Union activities last year; praised good and creative workers.
