On the occasion of the 2012 Tet holiday, TDM town’s Labor Union has donated coach tickets of VND16.25mln to help 25 workers, from central Quang Ngai province, to return home for Tet. Of the total cost, VND10mln came from the town’s Chinese Association for Mutual Assistance…, said Dang Thi Thanh, chairwoman of the town’s Labor Union.
Also according to Mrs.Thanh, the number of immigrant workers who will stay in TDM town to enjoy this Tet is higher than previous year. Most of them are not able to return home for Tet. TDM town’s Labor Union has also planned to bring them a warm Tet.
Particularly, TDM town’s Labor Union will cooperate with other mass organizations to visit and present 250 Tet gifts worth VND500,000 each to poor and alien workers on Dec.26 and 27 of lunar calendar.
Also on this occasion, TDM town’s Labor Union will visit and present 35 gifts valued at VND500,000 each to retired officials, trade union officials with difficult circumstance.
TDM town’s Labor Union will also team up with the local Center for Culture-Information and Sports to organize art performances for workers. Particularly, on Dec.22 of lunar calendar, an art performance themed “Celebration of the Party and lunar New Year 2012” for workers was organized at Fotai VN Co.Ltd. in Phu Hoa ward. 40 gifts were also presented to company workers with difficult circumstance.
Meanwhile, workers at the Lien Viet park will enjoy an art performance on Dec.26 of lunar calendar.
According to the report of TDM town’s Labor Union, almost town-based companies have offered the Tet bonuses to their workers and held year-end meetings together with many other significant activities for them.
