Workers who are staying at the factory of Earth Corporation Vietnam Co., Ltd at Tan Uyen town-based South Tan Uyen Industrial Park for working have just written a letter of thanks to General Director Masaharu Wada for his efforts in giving good care to them. During two weeks of eating and working together at the company for Covid-19 prevention and control, nearly 200 workers have received an allowance of VND 5.5 million per person along with many other benefits.
Taking good care of employees
In addition to 3 main meals, Earth Corporation Vietnam Co., Ltd. has directed its kitchen section to make 2 extra meals in the afternoon and evening for workers. Workers can eat in accordance with their favorite dishes registered with the kitchen. In order to ensure foods, accommodations and long-term "fight" against the pandemic during this time, the company is fully equipped with necessities for workers such as beds, blankets, washing machines, shampoo, eye drop… Besides, the company's Trade Union has organized playgrounds on badminton, shuttlecock for workers... to ensure their health. The wifi system has also been covered by the company to help the workers entertain, call for their relatives or update pandemic information.

Bui Thi Le, an administrative staff who has worked at the company for 13 years said that despite having a 9-month-old child, on June 19, when she heard that there is a policy of entering the company to eat and stay, and work to ensure both production and Covid-19 prevention-control, she immediately realized this policy without hesitation. She said: “I have to do it for everyone. If I go home every day and unfortunately get sick, consequences are very unpredictable. Moreover, it is the responsibility of all employees to the company during the current pandemic period, especially in response to the affection of the company’s General Director who has always acted for employees." According to her, along with policies on salary and insurance, the company has always carried out other allowances for workers on Tet and great holidays over the past years. The company has always guaranteed the monthly average salary level of VND 10 million for each worker; organized annual hi-quality tours for workers…
Doan Ngoc Thuyet, a worker of the company’s production department confided: “Over the past 2 weeks, when living and working together with the directorate at the factory, we all feel like a family, not employees. The kitchen is ready to serve at workers’ requirements with standard that is even higher than at home. In the evening, we talk together, watch movies, news... It must be said that this is a very meaningful time for all employees. The company’s directorate has written a letter to all employees who have contributed to the company amid Covid-19 pandemic, making us very touched.
Covid-19 prevention and control organized well
Earth Corporation Vietnam Co. Ltd. is specialized in manufacturing cosmetic and chemical products with Japan’s advanced production line. Since the outbreak of Covid-19 in early 2020, the company has always had very thoughtful plans against the pandemic. In addition to strictly implementing the "5K" message of the Ministry of Health, the company has established a steering committee for Covid-19 prevention and control. The steering committee has 8 members from all departments of the company. They are responsible for updating the developments of the pandemic, creating Zalo groups to notify workers of everything related to the pandemic in case of need as well as conducting in management and following up workers during the pandemic period to promptly grasp and handle everything.
Phan Thi Phuong Linh, Director of the company’s Administration and Personnel Department said: “More than 90% of workers are staying at lodging facilities near the company. Therefore, when realizing that the pandemic has entered factories and industrial parks, we had a meeting with workers to get their opinions about staying at the company to work during the pandemic period. As a result, 100% of the company’s workers said ok to the policy. In addition to providing workers with meals, the company will support each person with VND5.5 million for 3 weeks staying at the factory to work, except salary and other allowances. This level of support will be maintained throughout if the pandemic prolongs."
According to Mrs. Linh, the company does not require workers to wear uniforms as usual, but gives each of them 3 sets of neat clothes instead, ensuring their health, especially creating the most comfortable working environment for them. The company’s mess hall is divided into different time zones with safe distance and does not allow employees to sit opposite each other. The entrance and exit of the mess hall are done in a one-way process, so that no one comes into contact with anyone. All workers who stay at the company to work have been tested for Covid-19 by the local health workers…
