On the afternoon of May 31, Nguyen Loc Ha, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting of the Advisory Council on naming, renaming streets and public works in the province to approve the proposal of giving names to streets in Tan Uyen town and Thu Dau Mot city.
The proposal of localities to name streets is to create favorable conditions for functional agencies to well manage administrative units, establish addresses as a basis for granting administrative papers in accordance with requirements of the people.
At the meeting, the council considered the proposal of naming 26 streets in the New Urban Area of provincial Industrial - Service - Urban Complex in Thu Dau Mot city and 24 streets in Tan Uyen town. Accordingly, of the 26 streets to be named in Thu Dau Mot city, there are 19 streets in group 3 and 7 streets in group 4. All 24 streets to be named in Tan Uyen town belong to group 4. It is known that streets are named after famous people and historical places with many contributions to the homeland, country and locality…
After hearing contributive ideas by council members, Mr. Ha suggested that localities should strictly follow the process of approval; prepare sufficient documents, clearly explaining as well as continuously reporting on implementation process for the council to consider, approve and submit to provincial People's Committee for decision.
