With such practical activities, this year’s mid-Autumn festival seems to early come to children with difficult circumstances. Nguyen Thi Le Trinh, Permanent Vice-Chairwoman of provincial Children Support Fund Council said that the program aimed to help disadvantaged children enjoy a joyful full-moon festival, honor poor-but-excellent pupils and students. This was also a chance for them to meet and exchange, thereby encouraging each other to strive to become obedient children, good pupils and useful citizens to the society.

This year’s mid-Autumn festival has actually approached when the program had a lot of special items about the festival performed by Binh Duong Television-Radio Station’s “Mang non” art troupe and children with difficult circumstances.

Giving strength to school

During the program, provincial Children Support Fund Council also awarded 460 scholarships, comprising of cash, bicycles, computers, and 1,000 mid-Autumn gifts to needy pupils, students and children together with 25 support packages under the program of “Each kind heart makes a dream come true”; supported 5 contracts on insurance…with a total expense of more than VND2billion.

Mrs.Trinh said that these gifts came from the effort by the whole society in taking care of disadvantaged children. For that reason, provincial Children Support Fund Council wants to further receive more attention of the whole society in children protection, care and education, especially for those with difficult circumstances.

Addressing the program, Mr.Hung said that provincial People’s Committee and Children Support Fund Council hope the local teenagers and children will be always obedient and good pupils, well realize Uncle Ho’s five teachings and movements launched by the Young Pioneer Organizations at all levels; try harder in study and strive to become owners of the country in the future, being worthy of Uncle Ho’s desire, provincial leaders and donors’ attention and care.

Provincial leaders also believe that each business always has noble deeds to share difficulties with disadvantaged children, contributing to taking care of future generations of the country.

It is known that over the 19 past years, provincial Children Support Fund mobilized nearly VND60billion with more than 5,500 scholarships, 84 computers and more than 900 bicycles given; presented more than 47,000 gifts to children with extremely difficult circumstances on Tet and great holidays; funded heart, eye, cleft lip and cleft palate surgeries for 429 children…On this occasion, donors also supported nearly VND3billion to take care of children with difficult circumstances.
