Provincial People’s Committee has
just reached an unanimity to spend VND500mln on buying Tet gifts for needy workers
who cannot return home for Tet, expressing the great attention of the province
to them.
According to permanent vice chairman of provincial Committee’s People Le Thanh Cung, this move aims to timely encourage workers to further have a strong attachment with the province. He has also instructed province-based agencies and units to only organize simply year-end parties to save money for needy workers to enjoy Tet. Provincial People’s Committee will also cut spendings on Tet decoration and unnecessary things under the spirit of thrift and wastefulness prevention. The saved money will be used to take care for policy beneficiaries and poor people on Tet.
Whilst, province-based businesses have begun announcing the Tet bonus levels for workers that are equal or higher than the previous year. Tran Thanh Hai, Director of ScanCom Vietnam Co.’s Personnel Department said that in addition to the 13th month salary, workers herein will be offered many other Tet bonuses, gifts worth VND150,000 each and enjoy a party to welcome the New Year 2010.
According to the initial information from the Executive Boards of the Trade Unions of Thong Dung Footwear Ltd, Shayang Hung Cheng Co. in Thuan An district, Yazaki Ltd in Di An district…, Tet bonuses for workers herein will see increase compared to the previous year. Many other companies have also planned to take workers to homeland for Tet and then them up after Tet while announcing the Tet bonus levels that are 10%-20% higher than the previous year…
