On the afternoon of May 10, a delegation of the Government, led by Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Minister of Construction, had a working session with Dong Nai, Binh Duong and Tien Giang provinces on the situation of production, business and public investment, infrastructure construction, import and export in the three localities. The event was attended by Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of Binh Duong provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Binh Duong provincial People's Committee; Vo Tan Duc, Acting Chairman of Dong Nai provincial People's Committee; Pham Van Trong, Vice-Chairman of Tien Giang provincial People's Committee.
At the working session, Mr. Minh said that in order to support businesses to work stably, provincial People's Committee has implemented solutions on investment in infrastructure development and reform of administrative procedures, supported access to loans and ensured social welfare. Upon this, the local situation of production, business, construction investment, import and export has had many positive changes. To date, the whole province has absorbed 68,303 domestic enterprises with total registered capital of VND 751 trillion; 4,286 FDI projects with total registered capital of US$40.59 billion, ranking third nationwide...
Mr. Minh proposed the Government, relevant ministries and sectors to soon resolve the local problems previously proposed while raising a number of arising issues related to the field of land, construction procedures, fire prevention and fighting, environmental protection, logistics service development, assessment and recognition of urban types in the locality...
Speaking at the working session, Mr. Nghi requested relevant ministries and sectors to have close coordination and promptly resolve petitions by localities in the coming time; promptly respond to unanswered petitions from localities in writing. He also suggested these localities to further review urban planning and construction to meet new development requirements while strengthening construction management, paying attention to the development of social housing, removing obstacles for the real estate market..., creating motivation to promote the local economic development.
