On the occasion of
the 2011 Full Moon Festival, Long Khanh Temple in Tan Uyen district just held a
full moon festival for 300 local children. Aside from lanterns and moon cakes,
poor students enjoyed gifts. Nun Thich nu Lien Dieu, head of the temple, said
the temple spent VND12mil to grant gifts to talented disadvantaged students.
This is to encourage them to reach good academic results.
Tuoi Ngoc pre-school in Thu Dau Mot town yesterday held a full moon festival for its pupils. The pre-school pupils enjoyed dragon dance, folk game, music show and so on.
Earlier, Thuan An town youth union held a program themed “full moon festive night” for poor children on Sept. 11. The poor children in the town enjoyed a music show and folk game and hundreds of gifts including moon cakes, and notebooks.
Also the same day, An Son commune People’s Committee donated 50 gifts each worth VND300,000 to local poor pupils and granted 50 gifts to local children.
