On 17 March, provincial Steering Committee of Disease Prevention and Control established 3 inspection groups of Covid-19 prevention and control in Dau Tieng, Ben Cat and Tan Uyen. At the three localities, provincial Steering Committee was the opinion that grassroots levels from communes, wards, towns to districts and towns need to continue enhancing the prevention and fighting against epidemic in the new phase.

Actual inspection at grassroots levels
At Ben Cat Town, provincial Steering Committee led by Dang Minh Hung, PPC Vice President, examined the actual situation of the Covid-19 prevention and control at My Phuoc Ward People's Committee; Quarter 4 Executive Committee; An Dien Commune Medical Center, and JDT Vietnam Company (Rach Bap Industrial Park, An Tay Commune).
After the examination, Mr. Hung appreciated the performance of epidemic prevention and control in My Phuoc Ward and An Dien Commune, especially the collaboration between the town Medical Center and the municipal authorities, the guidance and communication at communes, wards as well as at enterprises, residential areas.
From the beginning of the epidemic, Ben Cat Town has investigated 320 cases of foreigners entering Vietnam, cooperated with police to conduct epidemiological investigation of 1,102 cases. My Phuoc Ward is currently monitoring 48 people in isolation.
In Dau Tieng District, Mr. Lac led the delegation and worked with the District Medical Center. The Director of provincial Health Department surveyed many treatment areas for the people. Especially, he closely examined quarantine area at the District Medical Center. This area has 10 sickbeds and can be extended to 20 or 30 beds, when the number of isolated persons in the area is elevated. Dr. Bui Cong Chien, Director of Dau Tieng District Medical Center, said that the center collaborated with the authorities to conduct investigations, verify, and quarantine 80 suspected cases. In which, only 1 case was quarantined at the center and has finished; 79 remaining cases were isolated at home and companies, most of which are foreign workers (from epidemic countries); only 23 cases are in daily health monitoring.
At Dau Tieng high school, Mr. Lac praised the spirit of teachers and staff in the prevention and control of diseases. He also asked this school to install more hand basins, hand soap at each school floors. in order for students to actively clean their hands before entering class; ask the school to cooperate with parents to well manage students during the epidemic season.
Also on 17 March, a delegation led by Huynh Thanh Ha, Deputy Director of provincial Health Department, came to Tan Uyen Town. The delegation examined the Covid-19 prevention and control at Khanh Binh Ward People's Committee; Huynh Van Nghe high school; Return Gold International Company; Khanh Binh Ward Clinic-Medical Center.
Mr. Ha appreciated this work Tan Uyen Town. He also suggested, Tan Uyen Town Covid-19 Steering Committee to continue performing well the 4 on-site things; strengthen the propagation about disease prevention measures among people; intensify risk control, fast testing of suspected cases; apply the right, radical isolation measures, perform good management of isolated cases; well manage information of foreigners in the area; pay more attention to disease prevention in religious institutions.
To enhance communication at enterprises
At the meeting, members of provincial Steering Committee received opinions and recommendations about difficulties in the supervision of suspected cases, due to the principal measure of self-isolation. Le Ngoc Bang Chau, Vice Chairwoman of My Phuoc Ward People' Committee, said: "My Phuoc Ward has a large workforce, numerous foreign experts. The ward investigated and is managing 250 foreigners (from China, South Korea, Cambodia, Taiwan etc.). Although the communication of prevention, prevention and disease intensified in residential areas, each household and worker in companies, factories, people and employees are afraid of be in direct contact with foreigners".
In An Lap Commune, where has many enterprises with foreigners, Mr. Lac asked Covid-19 Steering Committee of the commune to observe all activities of companies having foreign workers, do well the quarantine work. Every day, companies must report the health status of these foreign workers to the Town Medical Center. The epidemic prevention and combat in the area needs to be intensified so that all people have a deep consciousness and join hands for the prevention and combat of Covid-19.
