Provincial Steering Committee for Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) has sent a guidance document to businesses in the province on activities in response to OHS Action Month 2021 at enterprises.
Accordingly, in order for the activities in response to OSH Action Month at companies and business establishments to be effective and practical, Provincial Steering Committee for OSH Action Mont asked enterprises to implement the following contents: Continue to implement the guidance issued together with Decision No. 2194/QD-BCDQG dated May 27th 2020 of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control on the promulgation of "Guidelines on COVID-19 prevention control and assess infection risks at workplace and in dormitories for employees” (Instructions posted on web portals of Ministry of Health, National Steering Committee for epidemic prevention control and Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs); organize launching ceremony by themselves in the form of video conference or response activities at their units depending on actual conditions.
Enterprises identify dangerous and harmful factors; analyze the possibility of occurrence and consequences of OSH loss arising from the identified dangerous and harmful factors in order to summarize OSH risk assessment results; propose measures to proactively prevent occupational accidents and diseases, improve working conditions to suit the actual situation of production and business establishments; review, develop rules and procedures to ensure OSH for machines, equipment and supplies at the workplace and organize trainings for employees.
Enterprises need to conduct self-inspection on the safety and hygiene of machines, equipment, electrical systems, factories, and the observance of safe working processes and measures at the workplace and regulations on OSH - fire and explosion prevention; organize training on OSH - Fire and explosion prevention for employees, strengthen the safety and hygiene workers' networks or departments in charge of OSH at enterprises; hang OSH banners and slogans on front gates and working areas of enterprises...
Activities will be implemented in three phases: before Action Month (from March to April 29), during Action Month (from May 1 to May 31), after Action Month (from June 1 to Dec 31).
Provincial Steering Committee for OSH Action Month will have a plan to inspect the implementation of OHS activities in the Action Month 2021 at enterprises in the province.
