40 years after the national liberation, along with the general development, educational sector has grown constantly. Looking back, educators were proud of contributing to improving people's intellect, cultivating personnel resource to serve the country's industrialization and modernization.

Building up the revolutionary education

After the national liberation, under the Party’s leadership, teachers taking part in the war came back to their schools, forming educational management system and school management boards. As a senior educator, provincial Department of Education – Training’s former Deputy Director Mr. Tran Hieu still remembered the educational development of the province. At that time, most teachers went to remote areas, ethnic minorities to universalize education.

These teachers were not afraid of difficulties. They built up schools, came to each household to encourage children to go to school. They built up themselves temporary residences, or lived in offices, health centers. They also did not have many food, had to eat regularly sweet potato, cassava. Despite difficulties, these teachers persevered with schools, pupils.

Enhancing teaching staff

Currently, the number of schools has been increasing, 100% provincial schools were solidified. By 2014, the ratio of schools having more than 2 floors reach 62.44%. Teaching aids, equipment have also been provided adequately to meet teaching needs.

Emulation movement of good teaching - good learning, intellectual contests have been responded positively by majority teachers and students. In addition, the sector has developed projects, such as: building high quality high schools, improving quality of foreign language teaching in schools; strengthening teaching staff, solidify schools.

As a result, educational quality has been improved remarkably. 10th-grade enrollment’s quality, high school graduation rate, university admission rate is increasing.
