Happy spring with humanity

Benevolence is a precious moral tradition of our people. This was multiplied, when in the last days of this year, people showed the spirit of "mutual affection" through organizing visits and giving gifts to people in difficult circumstances throughout localities in the province. These gifts warmed hearts of the recipients, pleased the givers, and upheld national good traditions.

These days, benefactors everywhere visit and give spring gifts to the blind at Provincial Blind Association.

Sharing love

Previously, people, who do charitable works, were mostly wealthy persons. But today the movement of all people to do charitable works spread everywhere. With a compassionate and loving heart, many people have joined together to do charitable works, helped the poor in many localities.

Lately, four women: Nhanh, Man, Thu, Hien in Binh My commune (North Tan Uyen district) brought 900 gifts worth VND 45 million to contribute to the program of giving gifts to disadvantaged people at Long Buu Pagoda (Thuan An town). Ms. Phan Thu, a representative of the group, said: “With these small gifts, we want to help difficult people to have a warm happy spring. We hope that our families and ourselves would be healthy to continue doing good things for poor people”.

In addition to giving Tet gifts, Youth Union members of Binh Duong University also give free haircuts to students of Long Hoa Primary School (Dau Tieng district).

Tet gifts are hearts of givers to recipients, making the poor feel happy when the spring is coming. Donors now are getting younger. There are many young people, who still has many challenges ahead in their life, yet they gave a part of their income to do charitable works. These actions are very beautiful and respectable. Recently, a group of six young people in Thu Dau Mot City had a nice action by donating 70 Tet gifts to blind people selling lottery tickets. Each gift was worth VND 400,000, including necessities and cash. Witnessing the joys of gift receivers, how meaningful their actions were. “Knowing about unfortunate circumstances, I valued more what I have and find myself so lucky compared to other lives. Therefore, we want to contribute a little to help difficult people so that they could enjoy the spring and celebrate the New Year”, said Nguyen Hoang Tho.

Benevolence is showed through actions, not by so many words. Young people also called upon their friends and families to make contributions. With their youthful enthusiastic spirit, Youth Union of Binh Duong University recently organized a spring voluntary program to care for children in Long Hoa commune (Dau Tieng district) and Bu Dang district (Binh Phuoc province). In addition to gifts, youth union members also gave free haircuts to disadvantaged students. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Khanh, Secretary of the Youth Union, said: “Sharing Tet with children in rural areas is the responsibility of the youth. We also hoped students to gain more lessons about sharing to live more positively and be useful to society”.

Happiness is giving

Someone said happiness is giving. Indeed, when bringing joy and happiness to others, we also feel happy. With this thought, young mother Nguyen Thao Vy in Phu Tho Ward (Thu Dau Mot City), when she heard that her friends was doing a charitable activity to help disadvantaged people, come back from Ho Chi Minh City to make her contribution to the program. Kindness helps people get closer. Nguyen Tuyet Mai, a philanthropist in Di An town, said: "We e up buying new clothes to share with the poor”.

Doing charitable works helps our personality to be better. Clearly, as doing a good work, we will see life more meaningful. Nguyen Hoang Tho said: "Seeing people were happy as receiving gifts, I was happy too, so every time I help the poor, I feel my heart is calm and gentle”. Phan Thu also said: "We are not rich, but still want to contribute a little to bring joy to difficult people when Tet holidays are close”.

Many a little makes a mickle. That is the thinking of compassionate people. They hope more and more people to care for the poor. Some people took their children to do good deeds together. It is a way to educate their children of some young parents. Minh Duy, living in Hiep Thanh Ward (Thu Dau Mot City), takes his 12-year-old daughter with him to every charitable activity. “I want to teach my children to love and help others. I believe that, with this way of education, children will learn very quickly and live responsibly to the community”, Duy said.

Spring has been coming everywhere. It is the sharing, joining hands to help difficult people of all people and houses, making spring days of the poor happier and more meaningful. We hope that compassion would continue to be aroused and widely spread among the community, so that the poor would have a spring full of love and happiness.
