Happy Tet comes to workers

On the 2022 Lunar New Year, in the pandemic tough condition, taking care of young workers is very meaningful to workers away from home. In order to share difficulties and uphold the national tradition of kindness, Provincial Youth Union carried out a series of activities to take care of young workers on these days.

Spring trucks giving gifts to poor workers are organized during the 2022 Lunar New Year.

Spring Festival

A program "Welcoming Spring 2022" held by the Provincial Youth Union is expected to have the most practical activities to take care of workers' lives. According to Provincial Youth Union, this year's program was held in Thuan An city and had a cultural program to celebrate the Party - celebrate the spring, a competition of spring flower decoration, rice cake wrapping, food stalls, "0VND" stalls for poor workers.

Tran Bao Lam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, said: “At the program "Welcoming the Lunar New Year 2022", the Provincial Youth Union gave Tet gifts to many young workers, namely, 30 funds presented to young people having difficult circumstances, and 2,500 gifts from the Provincial People's Committee to officials of youth unions, branches, teams, groups carrying out the project to gather young workers".

In addition, the Provincial Youth Union also offered 700 flight tickets, bus tickets, train tickets to young poor workers to return to their hometown on Tet holiday through a program "Bringing Tet home" 2022; and expressed gratitude to lodging houses' owners who made contributions to taking care of young poor workers affected by the Covid-19.

Reunion on New Year

After a year of ups and downs due to the Covid-19, especially many workers living away from home had to suffer mental losses. Another Lunar New Year has come, the joy of reunion is still the desire of many workers living far from home. Therefore, the program "Tet meal to share love" has been launched by the Provincial Youth Union and branches in districts, towns, cities, is taking place at lodging houses, Young Workers's union branches from 20th to 30th January. Therefore, young workers having difficult circumstances, staying in lodging houses and cannot return to their hometown to celebrate Lunar, will be able to have a spring atmosphere to keep their spirits up and overcome difficulties.

In addition, Provincial Youth Union donated 100 "Tet meals" to youth branches, clubs, teams and groups at lodging houses. Youth Unions and affiliates organize "Tet meals" with the aim of sharing, encouraging the needy, and spreading mutual affection in lodging houses. "Tet meals" program will create the atmosphere of spring days by offering red envelopes, apricot, peach blossom, Vietnamese rice cake, and extending good luck wishes at the beginning of new year.

Provincial Youth Union also directed 100% district, town, city Youth Unions to organize spring bus trips going to each houses to give gifts to workers. Provincial Youth Union selected locations with a large number of young workers to present gifts in the provincial spring bus program. This program will start from January 25 to 30. This activity is to give gifts to many locations and ensures the delivery of Tet gifts to needy young workers, who are living in lodging houses and cannot afford returning to their hometown to celebrate Tet.

Besides, Standing Committee of Provincial Youth Union will carry out the program "Bringing Tet home" launched by the Central Youth Union so that disadvantaged young workers would be able to reunite with their families during the Tet holiday. Accordingly, Provincial Youth Union will send representatives to be present at departure points of bus trips to encourage, give gifts and see off young people returning to their hometown. This year, Provincial Youth Union also directed district, town, city Youth Unions to establish volunteer youth teams at inter-provincial posts and have small activities to see off young people returning home to celebrate Tet with hopes of peace and prosperity in the new year.
