Photo by Thu Thao Mr. Nguyen Cong Luan, General Director of Binh Duong Lottery, call upon his staffs to cancel their annual holiday trip to donate VND 400 million to program of “Tribute to Spratly and Paracel Islands” initiated by General Labor Union of Vietnam in response to the call of Provincial Fatherland Front Committee of Vietnam.“Under our collective labor agreement, we have annual holiday trip organized by the Company and those who fail to join shall be partially returned with an amount of money; however, in current situation, we called upon every staff to donate for Spratly and Paracel Islands. Such decision was enthusiastically followed,” said Luan.Besides, SaFa Veterinary Medicine Corporation of Dong Hoa Ward, Di An Town, has donated VND 2 million to the supporting activities for the ocean and island territories of the nation through Binh Duong Newspaper. Mr. Pham Sy Quang, a representative of the company said that the amount was donated by the company.Officers and locals of Binh Thuan 2 Quarter in Thuan Giao Ward, Thuan An Town donated VND 120 million.Texting to support Spratly and Paracel IslandsIn recent days, Youth’s League and union members have been called for texting to support the holy sovereignty of the nation. Mr. Mai Thanh Binh, Secretary of Binh Duong Lottery Youth’s League in the grassroots, said that the activity is to express the volunteer spirit for community life and the members have response actively.At Phu My Ward of Thu Dau Mot City, local Woman Association has called upon its members to text to support the program. Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy, Chair of Phu My Ward Woman Association, said that the drive was to express patriotism through specific actions.
