Responding to the program “Decade of action for road traffic safety in 2011-2020 period” launched by General Assembly of the United Nations and implementing campaign Year of Traffic Safety 2014, during this November, along with other provinces and cities, Binh Duong provinces has had many activities in response to “World remembrance day of victims of fatal traffic accidents” on 16th November 2014.
Losses cannot be offset
At the present, every day, Vietnam has about 30 killed persons and injured ones because of traffic accidents, which separate many families, stamp out many dreams, wear out fortunes, and so on. Consequences, losses caused by traffic accidents are unable to be compensated.

Activities commemorating deceased victims of traffic accidents have been carried out to warn society about traffic accident’s dangers, causes of traffic accidents; improve people’s awareness of traffic safety and order preserving, traffic accident preventing; heighten accountability of forces ensuring traffic safety; reduce the quantity of traffic accidents in 2014. In addition, contributions, share from the community are expected to help victims and their families.
Activities in response to “World remembrance day of victims of fatal traffic accidents” on 16th November 2014 have been launched nationwide, such as: propaganda, education on traffic safety and order, social consequences of traffic accidents; agencies, organizations, and individuals visit, make contributions to traffic accident’s victims and their families; and requiems, parades, seminars, meetings, etc.
Social supports are in need
National Traffic Safety Commission has set up 5 delegations to visit, encourage traffic accident’s victims and their families, especially ones having difficult circumstances at Ha Noi, HCM City, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Can Tho, Vinh Long, Quang Tri, and Thua Thien - Hue.
A ceremony to commemorate victims will be organized by the National Traffic Safety Commission in coordination with Tuoi Tre Theater on 16th Nov at Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Cultural Palace in Ha Noi and will be broadcasted directly on Vietnam Television channel. A requiem will be organized by the National Traffic Safety Commission in collaboration with Vietnam Buddhist Sangha at HCM City on 9th Nov.
In Binh Duong province, propaganda activities have been launched since October. Many delegations have visited, given gifts to victims having difficult circumstances.
All activities are to remind everybody: For the national development, for the safety of ourselves, for the future of our children, let do all we can to develop our traffic culture.
