All subjects were tested in multiple-choice format. Like every year, this is considered a quite stressful exam day because there are many exam subjects in one exam session. The morning was considered quite stressful as students had to apply knowledge of many subjects into one test, and the exam time was also quite long.
After 150 minutes of the test, students left the test site with a relief because the test was suitable, closely followed the curriculum, and easy to get good scores. The 2024 high school graduation exam is a special exam because this year's candidates are also the last batch of students studying the 2006 General Education Program. In 2025, the Ministry of Education & Training will make innovations in exam organization to suit the requirements and orientation of the 2018 General Education Program. The exam concludes the old curriculum but will be a good foundation to prepare for next year's exam.

According to a quick report from the Department of Education & Training, in high school graduation exam this year, the Department continued to receive active coordination from departments, branches and localities in the province. During the two test days, 28 testing sites throughout the province seriously followed regulations of the Ministry of Education & Training, and did not have invigilators violating exam regulations; The percentage of students participating in exams in all subjects reached over 99%.
According to the plan, as soon as the final test ends, the testing sites will transport exam papers to the centralized marking site according to regulations. It is expected that the Ministry of Education & Training will announce exam results at 8:00 a.m. on July 17. After that, localities assess graduation of students taking the exam and use the graduation exam results to consider university and college admission according to the enrollment plan. Binh Duong plans to complete the recognition of high school graduation no later than July 19.

During the two days of the exam, the whole province had 24 students absent from the literature test; 35 students were absent in math; 96 students were absent from foreign language subjects (including 66 students who are exempt from foreign language exams due to having English certificates according to regulations).
