Honoring enterprises for taking good care of laborers

Not only excelling at production and business, these enterprises have also taken good care of laborers’ lives. Provincial People’s Committee has also opportunely honored them and acknowledged their great contributions to the community…

In 2015, province-based enterprises well realized provincial People’s Committee’s instruction on taking good care of laborers’ lives by concrete and practical activities. Accordingly, trips of “sentimental attachment” took thousands of needy workers home on the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2016. Province-based enterprises and trade unions at all levels also paid attention to caring for laborers’ spiritual life. Particularly, they joined hands with relevant units held an art performance program in celebration of the Lunar New Year 2016 in Binh Duong New City, 5 art performance nights at provincial Center for Culture and Movie, 15 art performance programs and film shows for workers living away from home…

Ho Quang Diep, Director of provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs said: “With achievements done, I hope together with promoting their production and business activities, province-based enterprises need to take better care of laborers, helping them surmount difficulties, stabilizing their lives. Provincial Trade Unions at all levels also need to further care and protect laborers’ legitimate rights and interests…”.

At a ceremony awarding the certificates of merit of provincial People’s Committee to 100 outstanding enterprises in taking care of laborers’ lives on the  Tet 2016 festival just held, representatives of province-based companies, namely Furniture Resources VN, Joon Sai Gon, PungKook Saigon III…shared mutual experience on realizing effective models for workers over the past time. Le Le Tuan, Director of Furniture Resources Vietnam Co.Ltd.’s Personnel Department said that the British-invested company is specialized in manufacturing hi-quality cosmetic products for export that depends much on Vietnamese laborers’ workmanship. The company has always seen laborers as the most valuable asset, so it has paid more attention to caring for their lives, especially on the annual Tet festival.

On the Tet festival 2016, the company was proactive to pay salaries and bonuses for laborers before the festival, facilitating their shopping; donated 1,475 Tet gifts to laborers; organized a sports festival and a party in celebration of the Lunar New Year 2016 with luck draw programs valued at more than VND640mln for laborers. The company’s Directorate also commended and rewarded outstanding laborers…Besides, the company and its Trade Union jointly presented gifts to laborers’ offspring with good academic results on the annual International Children’s Day, aiming to encourage them to better study…

Sharing the point of view, Doan Ngoc Thao, representative of Panko Vina Co.Ltd. said: “On the last Tet festival, along with ensuring policies on Tet wages and bonuses for laborers, the company supported those living away from home to return home to celebrate Tet with their families. So far, the company has also well realized policies on healthcare and social insurance for laborers; organized monthly dialogues with laborers to opportunely solve their queries towards building harmonious labor relations. All have aimed to bring legitimate rights, interests to laborers and create a consensus between them and the company”.

With such practical deeds in taking care of laborers’ spiritual and material lives, 100 enterprises have just been awarded the certificates of merit of provincial People’s Committee. It is hoped that with the support of sectors and authorities at all levels, province-based enterprises will further give incentives for laborers. This will help laborers have a long attachment with enterprises here.
