Early August 18, Phu Giao district’s Youth Federation in collaboration with its branch in An Binh commune held a ceremony to hand over a house of compassion to the family of Truong Thi My Hang. This is a poor ethnic minority family in An Binh commune’s Tan Thinh hamlet in Phu Giao district.
The 45sq.m house is worth VND45mln, including VND30mln from the Executive Committee of the district’s Youth Union, the Youth Union branches of An Phuoc prison and district’s Police Agency, and the remainder from the family.
At the ceremony, the local leaders and donors also presented gifts to Hang and her family while encouraging them rise up in life.
It is known that under a charity program named “Building 2,500 houses of compassion” launched by the Central Committee of Vietnam Youth Federation, since early this year, the district’s Youth Federation has mobilized organizations and individuals to build 3 houses of compassion for needy people in communes of Tam Lap, Tan Long and An Binh.
