Tet will approach within over one month but warm ambience of Spring has flooded across Que Huong Humanitarian Center where is home to more than 300 unlucky children. The center’s members are eager to move to a new house covering on an area of ̃7,000sqm located in behind of the center.

Initially, the center faced numerous difficulties of material facilities. Many abolished children in this center suffered losses. At that time, more than 100 new-born children and 20 baby-sitters had to live in 3 small rooms. Huynh Tieu Huong, the center director decided to improve the status.Thanks to her efforts and assistance from donors and authorities, Huong has helped the center develop at all areas. After more than 9 years of operation, the center’s children has jumped to 322 from 30 in the first years.
Huong said that the center will build a sport ground for children in the coming time. However, the center’s financial source is nearly empty, so she will open more new trades of furniture production and business made by roots.
Visiting the center, every one will see sets of furniture made by roots displayed at the new house area. They are results of labor, creation and effort of people living and working at the center. Huong’s biggest hope is to see support from donors through the products.
It is hoped that gift visits and supports by buying the products will be raised to lighten joy for unlucky children in the upcoming Tet.
